Summer Scrimmaging 2025
At Avila, Scrimmage is an art. Each step, a brush stroke; and each play gets painted as you stride! This Summer, join us to become a master of this craft and make the game your masterpiece.
What will happen:
- off-the-ball Movement will be emphasized
- position-specific techniques will be explained with laser focus
- players will be taught to work as a unit
The core fundamental challenge of playing brilliant soccer is the awareness and adjustment of one’s spacing. This 4v4 indoor program specializes in teaching soccer players to think. The format is creatively structured to help players develop Soccer IQ through:
- A possession style of play built directly into our rules and regulations
- Avila-certified trainers injected into the games (one on each team), actually playing alongside players, but also offering quiet, quick corrections and encouragement
- Feedback about each player’s performance that is delivered to parents after each game using a variety of graphical formats
Summer Scrimmaging Format
The brilliance is in the personal attention format–using a unique 4v4 structure in which each team includes three on-field players and a certified Avila trainer (one on each team) for real-time, in-match instruction and correction.
